The Experiential Learning Research Group will be meeting Wednesday, October 17th from 4:00 – 5:00 in the Dean’s Conference Room (4010 JFSB). They will be workshopping a draft of Jamin Rowan’s essay, which is tentatively titled “Developing Civic Professionalism in the Humanities Classroom.” The article attempts to make the case for a competency-based, discipline-specific approach to the civic engagement movement, a movement that has become a major trend in higher education in recent years.
