We are excited to inform you that the Jazz-Blues research group’s “Music and the Written Word” one-day conference will be held on BYU campus on Friday, December 8th. Our keynote speaker that day will be Todd Williams, formerly the saxophonist and clarinetist of the Wynton Marsalis Quintet, Septet, and Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, and currently Assistant Professor of Music Education at Indiana Wesleyan University. Todd will deliver a talk in the afternoon concerning his current research, and later in the evening he’ll be playing at our annual public humanities event, Navidad Azul.
