Michael Gallope, associate professor in the Department of Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Minnesota will join the Jazz, Blues, and Beyond research group on Monday, December 2 from 1:00-2:45 in 3198 JFSB. Mike will talk to our group about his chapters on the Velvet Underground, Alice Coltrane, and Patti Smith-Richard Hell. Lunch will be provided.
Tuesday, December 3 from 1:00-2:45 in 4010 JFSB, he will give us a talk titled “Ornette Coleman’s Utopian Intentionalities, c. 1966”. Lunch will be provided.
