Dr. Laraway currently serves as the chair of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Brigham Young University, where he teaches undergraduate courses on Hispanic literature and culture and graduate seminars on topics such as modernismo, contemporary Latin American poetry, and Borges and philosophy. Dr. Laraway’s presentation is entitled “American Idiots: Outsider Music and the Philosophy of Incompetence.”
