The Cognition & Literature research group aims to leverage insights from neuroscience, psychology, and management to deepen understanding of how cognitive processes influence and are influenced by literary and artistic expression. This initiative is aligned with BYU’s commitment to interdisciplinary learning and research, fostering an environment where diverse academic perspectives can synergistically advance knowledge and understanding.
This group actively seeks participation from various departments including Humanities, Neuroscience, Psychology, and Management. This interdisciplinary team will create a vibrant intellectual community, promoting a holistic understanding of the complex interactions between cognition and literature.
We invite faculty to learn more about this research group at a lunch held on Friday, February 9th at 12:30 pm in 4101 JFSB. Please RSVP to Laura Hatch (Comparative Arts & Letters) by Tuesday, February 6th.
