In partnership with Asian Studies, Women’s studies, and Asian & Near Eastern Languages the Humanities Center will sponsor a guest lecture by Tani Barlow. Dr. Barlow is a distinguished scholar of Asian History and founding director of the Chao Center for Asian Studies at Rice University. She will give a public lecture on Monday, October 10th at 3:00 PM in the Education in Zion Theater (B192 JFSB). All faculty and students are invited to attend.

Title: “Advertising China: Commodities and Modernities in the 20th Century”

Dr. Barlow will also present for the Women Studies Colloquium, earlier in the day at 12:00 in B002.
