The winter semester kicks off its Colloquiua series with a presentation by Brian Croxall, in the Office of Digital Humanities. The event will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 3:00 PM in 4010 JFSB.

Title: “Test Tubes, Book Spines, and Broken Contracts”

In this presentation, Dr. Croxall will discuss two of his long-running research projects that examine the prose of Ernest Hemingway and the poetry of Carol Ann Duffy through digital methods. In doing so, he hopes to make an argument for what digital humanities methods can add to a humanities—or any—degree, as well as pointing to other efforts that are underway in digital humanities research in the college.

Refreshments will be served.
