Title: Outside the Lines: The Presumptuous Power of Play
Although often considered a childish pursuit, in the right hands, play can become a powerful tool for interrogating meaning, integrating truth, and inventing new realities. This colloquium explores the disruptive nature of play through the humanities, examines why we resist it, and draws on interdisciplinary perspectives to envision how we might evoke its transformative potential for the serious work of adult learning and living.
