The Humanities Center welcomes Jason Harshman, from the National Endowment for the Humanities, on Friday, November 1st at 10:30 am in 4010 JFSB. The NEH Division of Education Programs supports projects that strengthen teaching and learning in the humanities through professional development and innovative curricular programs for K-12 education and higher education. The session will offer an overview of NEH funding opportunities, the six grant programs supported by the Division of Education, and advice on applying to NEH. Afterwards, Jason will be available for twenty minute, one-on-one consultations for those interested in more specific feedback. We hope you’ll sign up to meet.
About our guest:
Jason Harshman is the Deputy Director of the Division of Education Programs. He received his PhD in cultural studies in education from the Ohio State University and was an assistant professor of education and international studies at the University of Iowa before joining NEH in 2019. His research and teaching include work in Turkey, South Africa, South Korea, and Japan.
