Hanging on by a Thread: Strung Together through Faith and Fears
There are two threads that run through our lives—the first, our fears, often holds us back from achieving our highest potential. The other, our faith, is a source of strength and a lifeline through misfortune and heartache. These strings are unique to an individual’s experience, formed in the life-long process of finding hope, joy, and love in the face of trials and tribulations. Our threads may be messy, tangled, and difficult to pull apart, but they also act as “common threads” in the human experience that tie us together.
One thread alone may feel like it can easily break, but when we share our stories and entwine each of our strings together, they become significantly stronger. This exhibit explores the process of overcoming grief and trials as both an individual and social experience, one that we must untangle and then weave together to see a bigger, beautiful picture.
