Seth Koven, Professor of History, Rutgers University will be visiting the Romantic and Victorian Research Group in December. Seth recently won the NAVSA Best Book of the Year prize for The Match Girl and the Heiress, a study of the radical reform collaboration of two women who came from opposite ends of the economic spectrum—one raised in a workhouse, the other from an affluent family. Seth will workshop with us a draft of his current project, “Economies of Conscience in Early 20th Century Britain: The Hobhouse Family in War and Peace.” We will meet on December 3rd from 4-5:30 in 4116 JFSB.
