We are pleased to have Jonathan Nathan, a PhD candidate in Early Modern History at Cambridge and winner of the annual French Political Pamphlet Fellowship, on campus to do research in our world-class inventory of Wars of Religion tracts in HBLL Special Collections. MARS will be co-hosting a couple of events in conjunction with Jonathan’s visit:

Tuesday, 2 October @ 12:05 in B003 JFSB (FLAC): Jonathan will be guest lecturing (in English) in Dr. Chris Flood’s “Protestant Reformation in Print” course. MARS will be providing treats and Chris said he would gladly welcome and love to have anyone from MARS come, participate and help our guest fellow feel welcome. It will be roundtable style so we welcome Q&A and input from any of our wonderfully erudite MARS colleagues. Come one, come all!

– The next afternoon Wednesday, 3 October @ 3pm in B192 JFSB (Education in Zion Theater): Jonathan Nathan will be giving his fellowship lecture: “Accusations of Atheism during the French Wars of Religion” (students and faculty are welcome). Hope to see you there…
