50-minute colloquium: Dr. Marc Olivier in the French Studies program has always found interesting ways of making centuries-old material relevant to 21st-century students. Last semester his students re-wrote sections of Dangerous Liaisons as a series of tweets (140-character mass text messages). This experience required students to ‘translate’ their understanding of the text to another medium.
